The Barnstable Fairgrounds Solar Canopy project in Falmouth, Massachusetts involved construction of a municipal solar installation supported on augercast pile foundations. During construction, additional quality assurance was required to evaluate the integrity of installed piles, including those already supporting erected structures.

H2R provided geotechnical and construction materials testing services, performing low-strain integrity testing on installed augercast piles to assess foundation performance. Testing included piles both prior to and after superstructure installation, providing critical verification of foundation integrity and supporting continued construction with confidence. This effort demonstrated H2R’s ability to deliver responsive, solutions-oriented testing services under complex, real-world conditions.
