Port Everglades North Bulkhead Replacement

The Port Everglades North Bulkhead Replacement project in Fort Lauderdale, Florida involves replacement of approximately 1,650 linear feet of existing seawall infrastructure to address aging conditions, accommodate sea level rise, and support continued operation of one of South Florida’s busiest seaports. The improvements will enhance long-term resiliency and allow accommodation of larger cruise vessels and future port development.

H2R is providing structural inspection, subsurface investigation support, and vibration monitoring services for the project. Services include existing condition assessments of multiple berth sections, support for subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and potholing operations, borehole camera inspections, and specialty vibration monitoring during construction. H2R also performed preconstruction laboratory testing and evaluation of in-situ soils, including assessment of potentially contaminated materials. These efforts support safe construction practices and long-term performance of critical marine infrastructure.
