The MIC Earlington Heights Connector is a 2.4-mile extension of the Miami Metrorail system from the existing Earlington Heights Station. The project features Station at the MIC and provides the passenger with a central transfer point to Metrobus, Metrorail, Tri-Rail, Amtrak, Greyhound, tour buses, taxi cabs, and the Automated People Mover (APM) that connects with Miami International Airport.

The project is designed to improve regional transit connectivity, offering greater access and convenience. By offering an alternate direct connection with Miami International Airport the number of vehicles traveling to the airport and bus stations will be reduced and provide much needed congestion relieve to the major area highways and arterial roadways.

H2R Corp, as both Williams Earth Sciences and Gannett Fleming, provided a staff of seven on-site inspector and technicians to perform a variety of quality assurance and testing services, including inspection and testing of construction materials, concrete, earthwork, and asphalt, SPT Borings, and Geotechnical Engineering Consultation and Reports. Laboratory testing services were provided by our FDOT approved laboratory. H2R’s services were specifically retained by the client because of our unique resources and ability to meet the expectations for this project.
