The 8.5 SMA Verification Cores project is part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP), a long-term, multi-phase initiative focused on restoring South Florida’s ecosystem through major infrastructure improvements, including pump stations, cutoff walls, reservoirs, and water control structures.

H2R provided drilling, geotechnical, and construction materials testing services to support verification coring, logging, and field testing of a cement-bentonite slurry wall. Field testing included optical televiewer (OPTV) inspections, closed-circuit television (CCTV) evaluations, and falling head permeability testing to assess wall integrity and performance. These efforts ensured compliance with project specifications and supported the long-term effectiveness of critical seepage control measures.
