A2 STA Value Engineering Study

The A-2 Stormwater Treatment Area (STA) is a key component of the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP), designed to improve water quality and restore natural flow within the Everglades system. Located in the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) in Palm Beach County, the project includes development of a large-scale treatment area to manage and treat water from major canal systems.

H2R, as a subcontractor to Arcadis, provided geotechnical and construction materials support for the Value Engineering (VE) Study. This effort involved evaluating preliminary plans, specifications, and design reports to identify cost-effective solutions that maintain performance, reliability, and constructability. The study supported optimization of project design while ensuring long-term functionality of critical water management infrastructure.
