Port Tampa Bay Berths 3 and 219 Extensions
The Port Tampa Bay Berths 3 and 219 Extensions project involved expansion of port infrastructure to accommodate increased cargo capacity as part of a broader public-private partnership effort, including improvements to the Big Bend Channel. The berth extensions were designed to support additional vessel traffic and enhance operational efficiency at one of Florida’s major seaports.
H2R provided dynamic pile testing services in support of foundation construction for both berth extensions. Services included development of pile driving criteria and evaluation of pile installation for a combination of steel H-piles and prestressed concrete piles. H2R supported contractors I+icon Southeast and Shoreline Foundation to verify foundation performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
