Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements & Expansion
The Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements and Expansion project in Zephyrhills, Florida involved upgrades to critical treatment infrastructure to support increased capacity and long-term system performance.
H2R provided geotechnical engineering support to Archer Western Construction during construction, assisting with evaluation of subsurface conditions and development of design solutions for challenging field conditions. Services included analysis of existing soil borings to design steep cut slopes for structural components, evaluation of shoring options, and ground penetrating radar (GPR) investigations to assess subsurface conditions associated with a roadway subsidence event. H2R also developed remediation recommendations, including flowable fill solutions, and provided engineering support for identification and safe closure of a relic well encountered during construction. These efforts supported safe construction practices and resolution of unforeseen subsurface conditions.
